The Gun That Started a Revolution
Our tribute to the pistol that fired the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World”

It was the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” … the start of the American Revolution. It came on April 19, 1775, during the Battle of Lexington and Concord. The night before, hundreds of British troops set off from Boston to seize arms and ammunition the colonists had stockpiled in Concord. Early the next morning, the British reached Lexington where they encountered about 70 Minutemen gathered on the village green. Suddenly the crack of a pistol pierced the air, and a melee ensued. When it was over eight American colonists lay dead, a similar number wounded, and one Redcoat injured, and the American Revolution began. Legend has it that the shot came from a 1760 Scottish Flintlock carried by Major John Pitcairn, commander of the King’s forces that went against the Minutemen on the green at Lexington. Now you can hold history in your hands with our magnificent tribute to the gun that fired the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World.” Masterfully crafted, each non-firing commemorative flintlock is all metal with a heavily detailed and embossed finish. You can rotate the pan, cock it and pull the trigger then watch the hammer fall just as it did that fateful day in a small Massachusetts town almost 250 years ago! With limited availability we urge you to order now!
