Magnificent Morgans from the
Famous Binion Hoard

These Morgan Silver Dollars tell the story of Ted Binion, the scion and face of the Binion Casino Empire. Always a “bad boy” who enjoyed living the high life, Ted developed a taste for the big silver dollars that were commonplace in the Las Vegas casinos. He began collecting them, keeping them in a floor to ceiling vault in the casino’s Horseshoe’s basement. Eventually, his massive collection – six tons of silver bullion, and more than 100,000 rare coins -- needed to be moved. A massive underground vault was built on his property about 60 miles west of Vegas. Then Ted was found dead of a suspected suicide in his Las Vegas estate.
When police caught thieves trying to steal Ted’s collection in the Nevada desert, it was discovered to be the same person Ted had hired to build his massive vault! The perps went to trial, but what happened to Ted’s treasure? The collection was eventually authenticated, graded and slabbed by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation as part of the Binion Collection. Now, our Mint Master has located a small group of original Binion Collection coins and is making them available first-come-first-served to our collectors.
