Some of the Last U.S. Silver Dollars Ever to Circulate!
At the end of WWI, the world yearned for peace. The delicately beautiful Peace Dollar was an expression of that desire. The model for Miss Liberty on the modern art deco obverse was designer Anthony De Francisci’s wife, whose stunning profile was his love song to her. Her crown emitted rays which seemed to have a touch of the divine. On the reverse, the eagle, with its laurel wreath, was truly a bird of peace.
The three Peace Dollars in this collection bear mint marks from all three U.S. Government mints (Philadelphia, San Francisco and Denver) where Peace Dollars were struck, and are guaranteed to be in Fine or better condition, nestled in a plush collector’s case.
