What started as a celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the “Night Before Christmas” poem has become a cherished holiday tradition here at National Collector’s Mint. The Night Before Christmas is arguably the best known poem ever written by an American (Clement Clarke Moore), and it has had a massive effect on the history of Christmas gift-giving. Our original bill proved so popular with collectors we just had to keep the celebration going. Now in its fourth year, our 2025 issue features Mama and Dad in their kerchief and cap, settling down for their long winter nap. We’ve taken crisp, uncirculated U.S. legal tender $2 bills direct from sealed Treasury packs, then enhanced them with full-color vignettes honoring the magnificent imagery of The Night Before Christmas poem. Each bill arrives in a protective sleeve and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity attesting to its legal tender status.
