Widow's Mite
This ancient bronze coin circulated in Palestine during the time of the New Testament. It was widely used between 100 B.C. and 60 A.D. and may actually have touched the hands of Jesus Christ and his apostles. In Mark 12:41-44, Jesus observed a poor widow casting two of these mites into the Temple’s Treasury. He called upon his disciples to watch her giving all she had, while the rich of the town gave only a small portion of their wealth. Preserved in very good or better condition and mounted in an inspirational portfolio, it brings you values more precious than gold.
