Tribute to the M1911A Pistol
Product Description
M1911A Pistol Tribute
Some firearms have become so iconic, that no collection would be complete without them. The M1911A “Government” pistol is one of them. Introduced in late 1890’s, John Browning’s single-shot, semi-automatic .45 caliber pistol became THE standard issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces in 1911. It was widely used in both World Wars, Korea and Vietnam. Famously visible in historical war photos, the M1911 had tremendous stopping power and undoubtedly saved countless lives for eight decades. It was replaced in October 1986, but remains so popular with soldiers that it has not been completely phased out. Units in the U.S. Army Special Forces and the U.S. Navy continue to use modernized versions. Now this all-American firearm design can become part of your collection with our non-firing tribute to the original M1911A. With a 9.5” overall length, 2.5 pound heft and black composite grips and finish, you’ll feel like you’re holding the real thing. Cannot be made to fire. Supplies are limited so we urge you to order today while they are available.
