Meet Rency, a famous yet elusive American born street artist. Like Banksy, he began making his art on the street, only to see it disappear in days, hours or even minutes. So Rency decided to create his art on currency – “something that would never be discarded”, in his words.
In the Founding Fathers $2 Bill, Rency has created a new and inspiring vision of our Founding Fathers. It all starts with a Crisp Uncirculated U.S. Legal Tender $2 Bill, direct from U.S. Government packaging. Then Rency’s full color vision is brilliantly produced right on the face of the bill – you see George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, John Adams, James Madison, John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton standing shoulder to shoulder on the front of the bill, before a wildly painted background representing the chaos of today’s world. In a nod to the pandemic, each Founder wears a surgical mask below the words, “NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE UP,” reminding us that America is worth the fight! Rency’s authentic signature appears in the lower right corner. The back of the bill is a pristine image of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
