1 Carson City Morgan Silver Dollar

Item #:

Product Description

The largest silver strike in U.S. history was the Comstock Lode in Virginia City, Nevada. This historic bonanza gave rise to the Carson City Mint (CC) which coined gold and silver exclusively from 1870 until 1893, and Morgans for only 13 years between 1878 and 1893.

Since Carson City minted only 2% of all Morgans, and many of those were lost to the melting pots of the early 20th century, the CC mint mark is considered to be the most rare and desirable of the Morgan mint marks. Each of these Brilliant Uncirculated to Fine condition coins comes encapsulated for protection with Certificate of Authenticity.
